CULTURAL CENTER
I often come to this place, to listen to music, to see exibitions and drink some coffee with my friends. This building was built in 1897 and was used as a public library. There is one of the biggest glass dome of Tiffany.
TARKOWSKI Christine - Last things will be first and first things will be last
I found the union of cartonboard and iron really unsightly, they are too much opposite.
I was more sensible about the topic of Hollis Sigler paintings. My younger brother died of cancer three months ago, so through all of her paintings I could feel the stress that my brother felt.

I am sorry for your lost. I understand your feelings.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am also sad to hear about your brother, Florence. I think this is a good example about how our personal stories and hostories influence what we perceive and how we look.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that you disliked the clash of materials in Tarkowski's work. I am sure that there was not supposed to be a "union" of materials and what you call "unsightly" might be totally irrelevant to her. She might just care about her idea rather than trying to make pretty art.
